The Deadlift Form That Still Holds Up at 200kg

The Deadlift Form That Still Holds Up at 200kg

Most missed pulls aren't a strength problem — they're a setup problem. Before we load a single plate, we run the same five checkpoints on every lifter on our floor, from a first session to a competition warm-up.

Feet under the hips, bar over the midfoot, shins to the bar before the hips drop. Take the slack out of the bar with your lats, not your grip — you should hear it, not feel it. Brace like someone is about to press on your stomach, then push the floor away.

The lockout is a hip drive, not a back extension. If you're leaning back at the top, the rep finished a beat too early. Reset, walk it back a step, and film your next set — most form breaks are invisible from the inside.

Book a Strength Training session and we'll run this checklist against your own pull, live, on the platform.
